Raytheon Australia Contracts Bell for Training
Bell Helicopter has inked a four-year deal with Raytheon Australia to provide three Bell 429s for the Royal Australian Navy's Retention and Motivation Initiative. The RAN trains junior qualified pilots and crew with aircraft provided through the Initiative. The new Bells will replace helicopters currently in the fleet. This agreement also introduces the Bell 429 to the Australian Defence Force’s fleet, which currently flies the Bell 47 Sioux, 206 Kiowas and UH-1 variants.
