Africa to Receive Boeing's 'Street to Right Seat' Training
Boeing has partnered with a pilot training school in South Africa, aimed at improving air safety on the continent.
Boeing said the agreement with Port Alfred, South Africa-based 43 Air School reflects a shared commitment by Boeing and the school to maintain and enhance aviation safety on the continent and the entire global market.
The school has three branches throughout South Africa. The three-phase program is designed to provide a candidate with no prior flying experience to easily progress to achieve accreditation. Graduates will be qualified as a Boeing Next-Generation 737 First Officer, ready to take the right seat in the flight deck.
"We have a unique understanding of this region's training needs, giving our customers a competitive advantage that cannot be matched on the continent," said Attie Niemann, 43 Air School's CEO.
