Webinar Discusses Greening of Aviation

With the advent of Emissions Trading Schemes in the next few years, airlines are coming to the realization that their 40-year effort to lower emissions and noise as well as save fuel, may go completely unnoticed by regulators. In addition, they are realizing such schemes will not only penalize airlines for their good work but will actually reward industries that have achieved far less than they have, according to the Air Transport Association. For an in-depth analysis tune into AviationToday.com’s latest webinar, set for July 31 at 11 a.m. AviationToday.com examines how the embrace of “clean” technology in aviation will affect doing business and the bottom line. Washington Post Aviation Editor Del Wilber and Aviation Maintenance Editor in Chief Joy Finnegan will examine how, despite its decade-long efforts to improve aircraft efficiency, air transport could become the next environmental villain. This webinar will examine the emerging technologies that will contribute to the greening of aviation including composite structures, propulsion, alternate fuels, traffic management solutions, and operational improvements. It will also discuss the mounting political pressure and controversy surrounding U.S. and European approaches. To register, click here.
