Role of VLJs in Small Communities Webinar Topic

In a different tack on the role Very Light Jets (VLJs) will play in air transportation, Aviation Today, a web-based sister publication to Regional Aviation News, will discuss whether they will become the answer for passengers abandoned by the airline networks over the last decade. The hour-long webinar, scheduled for 11 am on February 6, will also discuss how they will impact the airports struggling to replace regional airline service and fees. Aviation Today has gathered top aviation analysts to discuss the new market opportunities and new aircraft, especially the prospects for the point-to-point business travel resulting from the advent of the VLJs. The new light-weight equipment has been predicted to be the "microchip of aviation," promising to revolutionize air transport. Also on the agenda for the February 6 webinar is how regional airlines will consolidate into four or five airlines dominating the regional market and what that portends for Embraer (ERJ) and Bombardier (BBD). Speakers to date include Richard Aboulafia, vice president-analysis, The Teal Group and Michel Meriuzeau, director-military and commercial airborne systems, for the Aerospace and Defense Group of Frost and Sullivan. The webinar comes on the heels of its highly successful aircraft valuations webinar which projected aircraft values through 2007. More
