Republic Orders 13 ERJ 175s

With an order for thirteen Embraer  ERJ 175, Republic Airlines will become the largest E-Jet operator in the world. The order, valued at $403 million, was already included in Embraer’s first quarter backlog. Republic currently operates 76 ERJ 170s and 11 ERJ 175s and now has an order backlog of 32 E-Jets. Republic Holdings, the airline's parent company, has been operating E-Jets since subsidiary Chautauqua ordered the ERJ 145 in 1998 followed by orders for the ERJ 135 and the ERJ 140.
