Pinnacle Pilots Protest Lack of Contract
After three years without a contract, Pinnacle pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), picketed in front of Pinnacle’s corporate headquarters in Memphis . ALPA President John Prater was among the speakers. The union, representing 1,244 pilots, cited “the glacial pace of their contract negotiations, now in their fourth year, and management's refusal to recognize the pilots' contributions to the success of the airline.” For its part, Pinnacle told analysts repeatedly the problem lies with the changing demands of the pilots.
