Pierre Beaudoin New BBD Chief

Just as it was releasing its third quarter financial statistics which including a doubling of its earnings and posted a record backlog at Bombardier Aerospace, Bombardier announced the appointment of Pierre Beaudoin as its new president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Laurent Beaudoin who will remain as chair of the board. The appointment is effective June 4, 2008, the date of the company’s next annual meeting. Pierre Beaudoin now leads Bombardier Aerospace and previously was president and COO of Bombardier Recreational Products. Laurent Beaudoin, who has been at the helm for three years, said the company announced the change six months in advance to allow for an orderly transition.
