Paris: Air Lease Corp. Inks Deal for 30 Boeing 787-10s

By Woodrow Bellamy III

Air Lease Corp. (ALC) on Tuesday signed an agreement at the Paris Air Show to purchase 30 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners.
The Los Angeles-based aircraft leasing company became one of several operators to commit to the largest Dreamliner variant, joining GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), International Airlines Group (IAG), Singapore Airlines and United Airlines as initial customers for the 787-10.
Boeing said the 787-10 will seat up to 330 passengers, with final assembly and flight test scheduled for 2017, and entry into service for 2018.

ALC also committed to ordering three 787-9 Dreamliners, the second largest version of the aircraft family which is scheduled to make its first flight later this year.
