PW127M Engine Certified to Power ATR
Pratt & Whitney Canada received type certification from Transport Canada and the European Aviation Safety Agency for the PW127M engine, the newest member in the PW100 regional turboprop family. The PW127M offers five percent more power than its predecessor, the PW127F engine.
The PW127M is a derivative of the PW127F and PW127E engines that today power the ATR 42-500 and ATR 72-500 regional turboprop aircraft. The PW127M will be offered on these aircraft going forward and will also be the standard engine on the newest versions of ATR’s aircraft, the ATR 42-600 and the ATR 72-600.
