NTSB Gets Educated on Regional Safety

Regional Airline Association Chair Paul Foley reported that National Transportation Safety Board Member Kitty Higgins shared concerns she had about the safety of the regional airline industry. Indicating she was attending the meeting to educate herself about the industry, she primarily wanted to know whether Flight Operations Quality Assurance and Aviation Safety Action Program are being used in the industry. Foley said she came away surprised at how closely aligned both regional and major safety programs were.
