Mesa Seeks New Trial

On the eve of its required bond for more the $80 million awarded Hawaiian Airlines, Mesa Air Group cited new evidence in filing for a new trial in its on-going legal battle with Hawaiian which it lost on October 30. In addition to the new evidence, Mesa said it would demonstrate errors in the court’s rulings. Mesa Attorney Brian Gillman said the airline has sold securities to fund the bond. A ruling on the new trial is expected today. Hawaiian charged Mesa with using confidential information gained in an investment proposal it made to Hawaiian to start its go! operation in Hawaii.
