Mesa FA’s Call for Federal Mediator

On the heels of a vote of no confidence from its pilots, Mesa is now facing a call by its flight attendants for a federal mediator to be present at future negotiations with management. The Association of Flight Attendants recently petitioned the National Mediation Board, saying the company insists on a contract that is cost-neutral. "It would be near impossible to negotiate an acceptable agreement," said
Brian Manning, president of AFA's master executive council for Mesa. "That is why we are seeking the assistance of the NMB."
