Ex-Im Bank Approves Loan to Export Boeing 787s to Poland
The Export-Import Bank of the United States announced approval of a comprehensive $500 million loan to Polish carrier LOT Airlines to finance the export of a fleet of Boeing 787s to Poland.
The loan was extended to the airline by Apple Bank for Savings of New York, and is being co-financed by Nippon Export and Investment Insurance of Japan.
LOT becomes the first European airline to operate the Dreamliner, after Boeing delivered the first Dreamliner on order to LOT Nov. 9 in Everett, Wash.
