Embraer Signs $400 Million Service Agreement with Azul, TRIP

Embraer signed a $400 million service contract with Brazilian regional carriers Azul and TRIP, the airframe manufacturer said Thursday.

The deal is a renewal contract and the largest of its kind that Embraer has signed for its pool services; under the contract Embraer will provide support for more than 350 spare parts and repairable components for Azul and TRIP E-Jets through 2020.

Azul and TRIP Linhas Aéreas announced their merger in May 2012 to form the third-largest airline group in Brazil behind TAM and GOL.

“Azul and TRIP, not only have one of the largest operating E-Jet fleets but the companies also have the highest daily utilization of E-Jets in the world. Embraer is proud to expand the partnership of this support operation,” said Eduardo Munhós de Campos, vice president of commercial aviation at Embraer. More
