Eclipse Delivers First DayJet Aircraft
Eclipse Aircraft delivered the first three Eclipse 500 for fledgling carrier DayJet last week, kicking off what it terms is a new era in aviation. The three aircraft, the world’s first very light jet (VLJ), are the first of a 239-aircraft order for the first per-seat, on-demand, point-to-point operator, which is scheduled to launch service later this spring. DayJet is the company’s largest customer. The aircraft delivered today will be used to train pilots at Eclipse's facilities in Albuquerque. The training, as outlined before a Congressional committee last fall is extremely rigorous. Related Story
