EAS Funding Still Troubled

The FY07 Essential Air Service funding is still $25 million below the levels authorized by Vision 100, the last FAA reauthorization, according to Regional Aviation Partners. In addition, the group said House language includes an okay for the Department of Transportation to transfer the entire budget of the Small Community Air Service Development Program to EAS if appropriated levels are not enough.
