EADS Relocates HQ to Toulouse
Airbus parent company European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co. (EADS) on Tuesday announced a move to its new headquarters in Toulouse, France. The reorganization transfers nearly 200 positions from offices in Paris and Munich to Toulouse.
The announcement comes following the group’s recent move to limit government involvement in the company and repurchase up to 15 percent of its outstanding share capital at a maximum price of $64 per share.
EADS said the headquarters reorganization will move more than 500 positions—including integrated EADS and Airbus functions—permanently to the Toulouse location, while retaining about 250 support functions in Paris and another 300 in Munich.
EADS CEO Tom Enders called the reorganization a "key milestone" to further integrating EADS' operations. The new headquarters is scheduled to be fully operational by September.
