In the midst of the introduction of its new aircraft livery, Comair announced it gained 14 new Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft, the first to include a first class cabin, from its parent, Delta. The aircraft will replace 14 of the airline’s CRJ-100s which are being sold back to Bombardier. The new planes will be configured with 12 first class seats and 64 coach seats and will begin arriving in August with service entry on September 1. Deliveries will continue through February. The routes have yet to be chosen. After the transition, Comair’s fleet will contain 14 CRJ-900s with 76 seats; 15 CRJ-700s with 70 seats and 102 CRJ-100s and 200s with 50 seats.
