Aeromexico took delivery of its first Boeing
787 Dreamliner last week, the first of nine 787-8s that the Mexican carrier has on order.
The airline's first 787 is one of five on lease from International Lease Finance Corp. Aeromexico now has 18 remaining 787s in its Boeing
order backlog, including 10 of the larger 787-9 variant that were ordered in 2012.
Andres Conesa, chief executive of Aeromexico, called the airline's first 787 a "milestone for the Mexican aviation history."
Aeromexico's Dreamliners are configured with 32 "clase premier" lie-flat seats and another 211 seats in the economy class.
