ATR 42 Missing in Venezuela

An ATR 42 with 46 on board, operated by Venezualan airline Santa Barbara, was reported missing 30 minutes after take off on a Merida-Caracas route. The one-hour-and 45-minute flight, which took off at about 5 pm Thursday, was scheduled to fly through the 13,000-foot Collado de Condor mountains, according to the Associated Press. Rescue personnel were set to launch at daybreak this morning.
