ALPA Settles RJDC Action
The Regional Jet Defense Council (RJDC) reported the settlement of its action against ALPA after ALPA's Executive Council and Executive Board voted to endorse an agreement that provides for what RJDC called “important and unprecedented additions to ALPA's bargaining procedures.” The action resolves litigation brought by the ASA and Comair pilots, who sued ALPA for not accurately representing its members and using the scope clause of the Delta collective bargaining agreement as a device to limit flying at regional carriers, thus limiting the career growth and earning potential of regional pilots.
