NW Files Reorganization Plan

Just after press time for Regional Aviation News, Northwest Airlines filed its bankruptcy reorganization plan on Friday, contrary to stated plans that it would not file until next Tuesday. The plan did not address the talks it has had with Delta about a possible merger. One thing is clear, however, Memphis officials are already worried that combining the two airlines would mean Northwest’s Memphis hub would go in favor of Delta’s Atlanta hub. The plan calls for emergence from bankruptcy in the second quarter.
