Horizon will be the only airline providing service to and from Idaho Falls while the airport’s main runway is closed for repairs Sept. 2 through Oct. 1, 2008. Throughout the duration of the closure, Horizon will offer four daily flights to Boise using 37-seat Bombardier Q200 aircraft, designed to use the airport’s second runway, which will remain open during the construction.
After the renovated runway opens, Horizon will resume service to Idaho Falls with 76-seat Bombardier Q400s, offering a direct flight to Seattle and a direct flight to Boise starting Oct. 12. The Boise flight will depart Idaho Falls in the early morning – allowing for easy connections to Horizon flights to Los Angeles, Portland, Sacramento, and San Jose – and then continue on to Seattle from Boise. Additionally, Horizon will offer an afternoon nonstop flight to Seattle from Idaho Falls. Of the two returning eastbound flights, one will stop in Boise and the other in Sun Valley before continuing on to Idaho Falls.
