ASA Inks New FA Contract

Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc., reached a final agreement with the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) on a three-year contract for the company’s 1,008 flight attendants. In a vote conducted and verified by AFA, 70 percent of voting flight attendants cast ballots in favor of the contract. ASA flight attendants first certified the AFA as their union representative in October 1988. The new contract will become amendable on July 21, 2011.
“We are pleased to have reached an agreement that further showcases the strong working relationship that ASA enjoys with our front-line people,” ASA President and COO Brad R. Holt said. “We’ve made great strides together in our efforts to provide a more reliable product for our customers and business partners, and we are poised now more than ever to continue on as a fierce competitor within the regional airline industry.”
