Webinar Discusses Composite Safety Concerns

Emerging safety concerns about composites will be the focus of the next AviationToday Webinar – Aircraft Composites: How New Materials are Forever Changing Aviation, scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 11:00 am. Composites are at the core of the technological aircraft, manufacturing and maintenance changes for very light jets and are becoming an increasingly large part of all aircraft including Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner. The webinar’s expert panelists will discuss safety concerns including faster and more toxic fires.
The webinar will also examine how composite aircraft, such as the 787, the Eclipse 500 and Adam 700, are revolutionizing the aviation industry. Aviation Today’s webinar will explore how composites are affecting the daily realities and bottom lines of aviation companies in all niches. How composites are transforming traditional manufacturing and the competitive advantages of composites are on the agenda along with the unintended hazards and dangers of composites as well as how composites will affect the MRO field. Speakers will include Ramon Lopez, editor-in-chief of the weekly newsletter Air Safety Week, and Joy Finnegan, editor-in-chief, Aviation Maintenance magazine.
