Supply Side

Raytheon

Raytheon Airline Aviation Services recently delivered its second Beechcraft 1900D to Air Transse, a Japanese regional carrier. Air Transse began service in March using its first 1900D. The aircraft is flown on a tourist route between Hakodate and Obihiro on the island of Hokkaido. The aircraft has been configured for 18 passengers.

BAe Systems

Air Botswana has leased a BAe 146-100 from BAe Systems Regional Aircraft. Now its second BAe 146, the carrier took delivery of the plane in mid-December. Air Botswana began operating its first 146 in 1989. In addition to the lease, Air Botswana has contracted with BAe's JetSpares program for its "spares by the hour" support program.

Embraer

Air Canada [ACE] took delivery on Dec. 13 of its first Embraer [ERJ] 190, which is configured to carry 93 passengers in a two-class cabin. The delivery of the 45 firm orders is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2007. Like the Embraer 175s that it is receiving, Air Canada's Embraer 190 will have seat- back in-flight entertainment systems.

Bombardier

Transneft, a European-based oil transportation management company, earlier this month accepted delivery of Bombardier's [BBD] Global ExpressXRS, an ultra- long range business jet. It was the second XRS off the assembly line and the first delivered to a customer. Bombardier has begun delivery of its latest Global product ahead of schedule. The firm had anticipated deliveries in next year's first quarter.

Executive Jet

Executive Jet Management recently added five new aircraft to its charter operations. It now has 102 aircraft in its fleet. The latest acquisitions include a 2005 Citation Sovereign, a Citation X, a Falcon 900EX, a Gulfstream 200 and a Learjet 60.

ATR

CCM Airlines, the Corsican regional carrier, signed a 10-year global maintenance agreement with ATR valued at $24 million. An ATR carrier since the early 1990s, CCM recently accepted delivery of its first ATR 72-500 and it is the French launch customer for the latest ATR 72. The carrier has five ATR 72-200s and one ATR 42-500 in its fleet.

CAE

Air Deccan, a low-fare Indian carrier, has selected CAE to provide simulator training for its ATR 42s and 72s as well as its Airbus 320s. The deal includes two full flight simulators to be installed in Air Deccan's new training center in Bangalore.

CAE also announced it plans to invest $541.8 million over the next six years in a research and development program to improve its industry leading, cutting edge technology. The Canadian government will contribute 30 percent of the research dollars.

EADS Socata

EADS Socata recently introduced the TBM 850, a single-engine business turboprop that can match the cruising speeds for most light jets. The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified the aircraft and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration also is expected to soon certify the aircraft. Deliveries of the plane, which will list for $2.5 million, will begin in the next quarter.

Global Aircraft Solutions

Global Aircraft Solutions [GACF], a Tucson, Ariz.-based provider of parts support and maintenance, repair and overhaul services, recently obtained a new $12 million line of credit from its current lender. The company will use $7 million to support its aircraft trading activities. The new line of credit replaces a $2.5 million credit facility.

Sabre Airline Solutions

Sabre Airline Solutions has deployed its next generation of Sabre Streamline Resource Management suite based on Microsoft's Visual Studio 2005 and 2.0 Net Framework. The new software can work on hand-held devices and over wireless networks. In 2006, Sabre anticipates introducing its BizTalk server software, also based on this Microsoft technology.
