Chautauqua Flight Returns w/ Smoke
A Chautauqua CRJ 200 en route to Louisville returned to Houston on November 24 but returned at 8 a.m. citing smoke in the cabin. There were 33 passengers on board. The event caused no injuries or delays at the hub. Passengers were placed on a replacement aircraft. The source of the smoke remains unclear, according to the airline.
SkyWest Brasilia in Smoke Incident
A SkyWest Brasilia, bound for Los Angeles from Palm Springs, was forced to return to the desert airport after smoke filled the cockpit. United Express Flight 6552 landed safely with no injuries to the 14 passenger on board. The cause of the smoke has not been determined.
