Embraer Appoints Airline Market Executives From Its Ranks
Focus on the changes in the markets in the U.S., Brazil and Asia prompted several executive management promotions in Embraer’s (ERJ) Airline Market management organization. James Peddle was named vice-president, marketing and sales - USA, Canada and Caribbean, succeeding Mark Hale, who becomes managing director and chief operating officer of Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS), in Nashville, Tenn. During the transition Charles William (Bill) Parks, regional sales director, will be temporarily in charge of the office. Orlando Jose Ferreira Neto was named managing director - Embraer Asia and Pacific, succeeding Bruce Peddle. Alexandre Glock was promoted to vice president-marketing and sales – Latin America, succeeding Ferreira. Finally, Antonio da Cunha Campello was named vice president, programs, taking over from Mauro Kern, who was appointed to succeed Frederico Fleury Curado as executive vice-president - airline market.

Republic Announces New Labor Relations Chief
Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (RJET)
appointed Ronald C. Henson vice president - labor relations, reporting to Wayne C. Heller, executive vice president and chief operating officer. Henson joins Republic from Atlanta-based law firm Ford & Harrison LLP, where he was a founding partner and most recently, managing partner of the Washington DC office. In his more than 28 years at Ford & Harrison, Henson negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements covering a wide range of employee groups in the airline industry. Additionally, Henson is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and is admitted to the courts for the District of Columbia, Georgia, Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. Court of Appeals (Fifth, Sixth and Eleventh Circuits).

SkyWest Continues Exec Appointments
SkyWest Airlines, a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc., (SKYW), appointed Michael Thompson to assume responsibilities as vice president – market development for SkyWest Airlines effective April 2, 2007. Thompson replaces Steven Hart, SkyWest Airlines current vice president – market development, who is retiring after 20 years with the airline. With the transition, Thompson will be responsible for SkyWest Airlines strategic planning, scheduling, pricing, inventory control and production planning. Related Story Thompson recently served as the chief financial officer at Ivy Logistics Inc., where he had profit and loss responsibility for the growth and profitability of the company. He was instrumental in creating the financial infrastructure of the company as well as establishing policies that improved cash flow and increased operational efficiency. Thompson was the executive operational analyst for SkyWest from 2001 to 2005. In that role, he provided analytical support for operations and was the driving force in creating “Performance Rewards,” a monetary reward program for SkyWest employees.
