BAE Systems Regional Aircraft appointed Andy Whelan sales executive for the company. He hails from Raytheon Aircraft Company, Harrods Aviation and Jet Aviation. In addition Art Rink, who has worked in the company's Washington office, was named to handle corporate aircraft sales in North America.
Eclipse Aviation named Kenneth McNamara vice president of customer and product support to oversee every aspect of the customer experience. McNamara recently served as chief operating officer of Skyplus Technologies, specializing in aviation operations management. Prior to that he was president and CEO of Allied Aerospace and has worked for Rockwell Collins Passenger Systems and Hughes Avicom.
Express Jet (XJT) elected Salvatore J. Badalamenti to its board of directors. Badalamenti is founder and president of Churchill Asset Management, a real estate investment and development company. He served in a number of positions with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co from 1985 to 1999, most recently as chief financial officer.
Mesa (MESA) Board Member General Ronald R. Fogleman, USAF, (Ret) is stepping down after an eight-year term citing his desire to reduce involvement in public company boards.
SkyWest (SKYW) named Margaret "Peg" Billson to its board of directors, serving on the compensations committee. She is currently the chief operating officer for Eclipse Aviation, where she is responsible for setting strategic direction, operations, including engineering, program management, information systems and supply chain management. SkyWest made clear her appointment does not signal plans to get into the newly emerging very light jet market (VLJ) or per-seat, on-demand business. It said she came highly recommended and was highly qualified. She has also served as vice president and general manager of Honeywell International's airframe systems business as well as vice president of engineering for engines, systems and services.
