Oregon Airport Gets New Name

In a bid to end confusion, the Coos County Airport District Board of Commissioners voted recently to change the name of the North Bend Airport, dubbing it instead, the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport. Travelers destined for the North Bend area have inadvertently ended up at central Oregon's Bend/Redmond area. Commissioners also wanted to indicate the airports served a region rather than a single community. It's industry identifier will remain KOTH.
