In a plan to enhance its existing service to Oklahoma City from New York and Houston, Continental (CAL) is adding new twice-daily nonstop service between the airline's Cleveland hub and Oklahoma City's beginning Sept. 30. The daily service, operated by ExpressJet (XJT) using its 50-seat Embraer (ERJ) 145 regional jet aircraft, will provide connections via Cleveland to dozens of other cities.
It will also add its fourth Canadian city when Continental Express begins twice daily service between Cleveland and Ottawa this fall. The service will be using an XJT 37-seat Embraer 135 regional jet

American Eagle adds twice daily jet service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Roswell on September 5 and a single roundtrip daily between DFW and Santa Fe on December 13. As part of its new Santa Fe service, the airline will also start a single roundtrip nonstop weekend service from Los Angeles International Airport to Santa Fe on Dec. 14. American Eagle will operate both round-trip services using 44-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jets.
Eagle will also add nonstop service between Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport and Raleigh/Durham International Airport, beginning Nov. 4. American Eagle will operate round-trip service between the two cities using 37-seat Embraer ERJ-135 jets.
American Airlines (AMR) and Eagle, are offering fares of just $34 to $79 each way (with required round-trip purchase) for travel late summer through fall from Miami and Fort Lauderdale to select destinations in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Latin America.
