Lynx Adds Steamboat

Lynx Aviation, Frontier’s regional subsidiary, began service to its fifth Colorado market, Steamboat Springs/Hayden. The inaugural flight of the four daily roundtrips arrived at Yampa Valley Regional Airport on Thursday.
Steamboat Springs/Hayden is similar to the other five cities in Colorado that Frontier currently serves, all of which are shorter-haul markets, better suited to leveraging the economics of the 74-seat Bombardier Q400. A fleet of 10 Q400 aircraft are operated for Frontier Lynx.
"Lynx Aviation has been a tremendous success in Colorado so far, and we think Steamboat Springs/Hayden will only continue that trend," said Frontier President and CEO Sean Menke. "Now, more Coloradans will have access to the high-quality, low-cost airfare Frontier provides. Our service to these Colorado destinations makes it easier than ever for people to visit this great state and experience all it has to offer."
The seasonal Steamboat Springs/Hayden service will run from Dec. 18, 2008 to April 21, 2009.
