Horizon Investigates Cockpit Videos
Horizon pilots joined their counterparts at JetBlue and Trans States, for using poor judgment as they filmed takeoffs and landings and then put them on You Tube. Related Story They are now being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and Horizon for shooting videos in the cockpit violating not only sterile cockpit rules but prohibitions against using personal electronic devices. The only time cockpit filming is allowed is during training flights.
"We do not condone anything like that," Horizon Spokewoman Jen Boyer told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. “We were all over it right away and immediately talked to our entire pilot crew.”
The video was taken by an occupant of the jump seat filming a takeoff from Boise. The video has since been removed from You Tube.
