Embraer Announces Joint Definition Phase for Phenom 300

Embraer (ERJ) is entering the joint definition phase for its nine-passenger light jet, expected on the market in 2009. Powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada's PW535E engines, with 3,200 pounds of thrust each, the Phenom 300 is designed for short field takeoff performance and is capable of flying at 45,000 feet (13,700 meters). The aircraft is priced at US$ 6.65 million. Its four-passenger Phenom 100 is expected in service in 2008 using Pratt & Whitney Canada's PW617F engine, with 1,615 pounds of thrust. It is priced at US$ 2.75 million in 2005 dollars.
