Brief
- Casino Airlines, a Texas-based operator that has not flown since 2002, has applied with the U.S. Department of Transportation to establish scheduled service between Lake Charles, La., and Dallas. The carrier will fly two BAe Jetstream 3100s, which can carry 19 passengers, twice a day between the two cities. Lake Charles will use a $100,000 Small Community Air Service grant to provide a one-year subsidy. The federal funds will be used to maintain a revenue stream equivalent to a 47 percent load factor.
