American Drops Three RegionsAir Points

While working with Great Lakes to restore AmericanConnection service to six points left without air service with the recent cessation of RegionsAir, American (AMR) announced it is dropping service to Cape Girardeau, Mo, Jackson, Tenn. and Owensboro, Ky, since Great Lakes lost those Essential Air Service Points to Big Sky. Related Story  DOT has already reassigned service at those three points to Big Sky Airlines. American and Great Lakes are working on service between St. Louis and Burlington, Iowa, Dacatur, Marion, Springfield and Quincy, Ill and Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Once the Great Lakes Aviation replacement flight schedule is completed, it will be loaded into American's reservations system and seats on the new flights will go on sale.
