AK Gains New Code Share
Alaska Airlines forged a new regional partnership with Frontier Alaska Airlines, a year-round commuter and postal carrier between Fairbanks and Anchorage. It was recently formed through the combination of Hageland Aviation Services and Frontier Flying Service and is now the state’s largest regional transportation network serving 92 communities. The partnership means Frontier Alaska’s passengers can earn mileage on Alaska.
"The reason we formed this network of service throughout the state was to provide seamless service for our customers from their homes to our larger hubs and on to the Lower 48," said Bob Hajdukovich, president of Frontier. "Alaska Airlines provides the final link and perfect synergy to our services. And the Alaska Mileage Plan will make every penny count – whether customers are traveling locally or vacationing to Hawaii."
"We're excited to be exploring the possibilities of working with Frontier Alaska as a new airline partner in the state of Alaska," said Rick Rasmussen, Alaska Airlines' director of customer loyalty and marketing programs. "Once we bring Frontier Alaska on as a partner, frequent fliers in the state of Alaska will enjoy easier connections on the two carriers as well as even more opportunities to earn and redeem miles in the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan."
"Frontier has a great service reputation and its routes complement Alaska Airlines' existing passenger and cargo service within the state," said Bill MacKay, Alaska Airlines' vice president for the state of Alaska.
