Liam Connolly joined the
Regional Airline Association (RAA) as manager-industry & regulatory affairs, assigned to a range of responsibilities crucial including security, environmental and communications.
“We’re very excited to add someone with Liam’s energy and broad experience to help RAA’s member airlines navigate these complex and important issues,” said RAA President Roger Cohen. “RAA’s longstanding team of Scott Foose, Faye Malarkey, Dave Lotterer and Scott Gordon have done an amazing job covering the whole court, and we’re appreciative our board provided the resources so we can add the ‘sixth man’ to even better serve our members.”
Connolly joins RAA with a strong government and regulatory affairs background. Most recently, he worked as national accounts manager for
Blackboard Inc., focusing on sales to the
Department of Defense (DOD) and other government agencies. Prior to that, he served as the director of aerospace and defense government affairs for
SmithBucklin Corp. covering a variety of aerospace issues and working with DOD,
FAA, NASA and
Congress. Before joining SmithBucklin Corp., Connolly served as a legislative assistant to Congressman Peter Torkildsen (R-MA) specializing in defense and aerospace issues. He holds a BA in Political Science from the
University of Richmond.
