A new global public relations alliance, specializing in representation for the aviation industry, launched at the Singapore Air Show and includes Former
Commuter/Regional Airline News International Editor Alison Chambers and
Former Commuter/Regional Airline News Editor Kelly Murphy. While the two have long partnered in
Emerald Media Associates, they have now joined with two other firms in creating the global enterprise.
LeadingEdgeCommunications.aero has been established by three leading aviation PR consultancies – Singapore-based
Euro Asia Communications, led by Anthony Phillips; Europe’s Emerald Media; and Australasian company
Asia Pacific Public Relations, led by Tony Harrington.
The partnership will also include strong associate consultancy presence in other key markets, initially including the US, China/Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Germany and Spain, as part of its strategy to offer a truly global communications program.
LeadingEdge associates have been selected because they each provide specialist services to the air transport sector, and have proven results, said the company in its Singapore announcement. Additional associates with strong civil or military aviation credentials, and based in key locations, are being actively sought.
LeadingEdgeCommunications.aero reflects the global nature of the aviation industry. It has been shaped to deliver both global coverage and local knowledge, underpinned by a strong understanding of the aviation industry. LeadingEdge will provide a wide range of services - press releases, events, newsletters, speeches, media liaison, specialist counsel, customer communications, website and brochure editorial and crisis communications.
The group’s commitment to serve only clients in the aviation business is further reflected in its decision to adopt a .aero Internet domain – the specific domain reserved for companies working in the air transport industry.
The LeadingEdgeCommunications.aero team can also provide fast, knowledgeable and cost-effective service to aviation industry clients not only in markets where consultancies are based, but anywhere else in the world.
Target customers of the LeadingEdgeCommunications.aero partnership will be heads of in-house public relations or marketing departments within air transport companies, who may require additional resources to deal with major announcements, high workloads, planning projects, industry events or emergency situations but who may not necessarily need these resources long term.
Customers already include airlines, charter and freight operators, airports, aviation consultancies, aircraft and infrastructure financiers, maintenance and service providers and manufacturers of airframes, engines and components.
In addition, at a time when low-cost airlines continue to evolve around the world - many of them without their own PR departments, or with limited resources – LeadingEdgeCommunications.aero can provide PR or other communications support on a retained, project or task-by-task basis as required.
