As promised, DayJet’s Florida operations are expanding across the southeast, as the per-seat, on-demand carrier added 28 new destinations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi, last Monday. The network expansion comes just 60 days after the launch of DayJet’s per-seat, on-demand business model which is being watched with interest.
“Since initiating service in October, the feedback from our membership base has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Ed Iacobucci, DayJet president and CEO. “Business travelers in our region are reaping productivity benefits of turning regional travel that once required over-night stays or hours in the car into convenient and comfortable day trips. Adding these 28 new destinations to our network not only gives members in our DayPort markets more travel choices, but also provides a powerful link between communities that today have no direct scheduled jet service.”
The expansion wraps Dothan, Fairhope and Mobile, Ala. to the company’s Eclipse 500 network, along with Daytona Beach, Destin, Fort Pierce, Jacksonville, Key West, Kissimmee, Leesburg, Melbourne, Miami/Opa Locka, Naples, Palm Beach, Punta Gorda, Sanford, Sarasota, Sebring, St. Augustine, and St. Petersburg to its network of DayPorts at Tallahassee, Gainesville, Lakeland, Pensacola and Boca Raton. In Georgia, the expansion includes Albany, Brunswick, Savannah, Valdosta and Waycross while in Mississippi Pascagoula will be added to the network.
