Frasca International, Inc.
Frasca International, Inc., of Urbana, Ill., has been awarded two contracts for regional jet Flight Training Devices (FTDs). Atlantic Flight Training, England, and Western Michigan University, Battle Creek, have both placed orders for Frasca CRJ Devices. Atlantic Flight Training's device will simulate the CRJ-200 regional jet and will be certified as an FNPT II MCC. Features will include; Collins Pro-line IV Avionics Suite, FMS 4200 flight management system, Electric Control Loading (ECL) and Frasca's TruVision 220 visual display system. Western Michigan University's device will be similarly equipped and will be certified as a Level 6 Flight Training Device. In addition to the new CRJ device orders, Frasca has recently delivered CRJ FTDs to Arizona State University, Mesa, Ariz., and to Seneca College, Toronto, Canada. Frasca's first CRJ FTD, a level 5, was delivered to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Fla., in 2001. Frasca manufactures flight training equipment for airlines, flight schools, universities and military organizations worldwide.

Multi Service Aviation, an aviation bank card company, has named Brenda Vann to its team of regional managers. Her territory includes Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming in the United States, along with all territories in Canada. Vann comes to Multi Service Aviation with a decade of experience in the aviation industry. She held various positions at Denver jetCenter, including roles in customer relations and sales and marketing. Vann is currently certified in the NATA Safety First program. Multi Service Aviation is part of U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Systems and its parent company, U.S. Bancorp [USB].

AirPlus International, a leading provider of global business travel payment solutions, released a white paper, "Using Central Billing Systems to Successfully Manage Travel" that was developed and written by Partnership Travel Marketing and Edgar, Dunn & Company. The white paper shows that central billing systems drive traveler policy compliance, provide the most comprehensive data and improve reconciliation processes, saving corporations time and money. A majority of the respondents of the survey conducted as part of the development of the white paper say they currently use a central billing system to streamline their payment practices. ICAT Logistics, Inc.
ICAT Logistics, Inc., a provider of worldwide transport and expedited freight services, announced the appointment of James Campbell as the General Manager of its Baltimore headquarters. Previously Product Manager at ZAPP USA, Campbell was responsible for all marketing and strategic sales efforts relating to reaching annual sales budgets for the international specialty steel manufacturing company.
Avidyne Corp.
Avidyne Corp. introduced the MHD Multi-Hazard Display with Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS) capability, the first color display combining TAWS, traffic and lightning to fit in a standard (3ATI) avionics panel opening. Part of Avidyne's growing line of avionics, the MHD is ideal for installation in space-constrained panels and adds important safety tools in a flexible, compact package to virtually any general aviation cockpit. With its recent FAA certification as a TAWS display, the MHD is compatible with the Honeywell KGP 560, KGP 860, and Mark XXI Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS). The system also can function as a traffic display when interfaced with Traffic Alert Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS I), Avidyne TAS600 Series or other Traffic Advisory Systems (TAS) and Mode S Traffic Information Systems (TIS). The MHD also displays lightning information from the L-3 WX-500 Stormscope system and is available with an optional DME display for added functionality.
K & F Industries Holdings
K & F Industries Holdings has acquired Nasco Aircraft Brake, Inc. for approximately $19 million. The acquisition was made using cash on hand. Located in Gardena, Calif., Nasco is an FAA-certified supplier of aircraft wheel and brake components for the military and commercial aircraft markets. Nasco products are installed on aircraft produced by a variety of airframe manufacturers including Boeing, Fokker, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics.
