LONDON,
November 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Andy Harrison, CEO of
easyJet, said the airline has posted a "good set of results" as it delivered
profits of
GBP43.7m, in line with expectations.
In a video interview on http://www.cantos.com, Mr Harrison said this made
easyJet one of the few European airlines to make a profit this year.
Despite economic headwinds Harrison said easyJet had been able to weather
the storm due to the strength of its network.
"We offer the best prices to the most convenient airports. We operate a
network of primary destinations. We operate on Europe's thickest routes and
we've been able to win market share based on our low cost."
Mr Harrison added that the group was well-positioned to continue to
deliver further cost savings and the airline was "in good shape and
well-positioned for any future recovery."
