World Airways to Operate Three MD-11 Freighters for Lufthansa Cargo

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga., May 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lufthansa Cargo and World Airways have signed an expanded 18-month contract to operate three MD-11 freighters between Europe and the United States beginning July 1, 2007. This will supersede the current contract for two MD-11 freighters through October 2007.

Lufthansa Cargo operates 19 MD-11 freighters and currently has additional charter agreements for two MD-11 freighters and three Boeing 747 freighters.
