United’s New Expressway Between Chicago and the Prairies

New non-stop service to begin between Chicago and both Bismarck and Saskatoon

CHICAGO, March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Summer on the prairies just became a little easier to reach with United’s announcement today of new non-stop daily service to Bismarck, N.D. and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Both destinations will be served from United’s hometown hub at Chicago O’Hare airport, and flights are now open for sale. These new flights complement United’s existing daily service to Bismarck and Saskatoon from its hub in Denver, and they are pending government approval.

“This new flight between Chicago and Bismarck is great news for travel to and from western North Dakota,” says Senator Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.). “The Bismarck region is growing and thriving, and roundtrip service to Chicago is an important investment in the community that will give our citizens an important new connection to destinations east and south.”

Beginning June 4, customers flying to Saskatoon will enjoy a 66-seat CR7 explus(SM) regional jet that offers the comfort and service of first class seating and up to five more inches of extra legroom in Economy Plus. The Bismarck flight will be served by a 50-seat CRJ aircraft, and United Express® partner SkyWest will operate both daily services.

“We look forward to expanding our domestic service and giving our customers more convenient flights to the prairie land,” says Greg Kaldahl, vice president - resource planning for United Airlines. “For our customers traveling from the Midwest and East Coast, this new daily service will save them time that can now be used to work or enjoy the sights even more.”
