US Airways(R) Partners With LifeLock to Protect Dividend Miles(R) Members From Identity Theft

TEMPE, Ariz., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- LifeLock CEO Todd Davis announced today a strategic alliance with US Airways (NYSE: LCC) to provide the nation's leading identity theft protection tool to US Airways Dividend Miles Members. Members are eligible for a 10 percent discount and 1,000 Dividend Miles when enrolling with LifeLock. LifeLock works to make personal information useless to identity thieves and backs up the service with a $1 million guarantee. Members can enroll for LifeLock at http://www.lifelock.com or by calling 1- 800-LIFELOCK and mentioning the promotional code "USAIR1."

"Whether you spend a great deal of time traveling or staying at home, identity theft can be crippling," said Davis. "This partnership with US Airways shows the airline's commitment to ensuring that their customers' personal information is kept safe."

As the industry leader in identity theft protection, LifeLock requests on behalf of its clients that the national credit bureaus place fraud alerts on its members' credit files, and requests that members' names be removed from pre-approved credit card offer and junk mail lists. Members are also entitled to LifeLock's WalletLock(TM), eRecon(TM) and TrueAddress(TM) services. WalletLock works to cancel and replace all documents and personal identifying information inside a wallet if it is lost or stolen. eRecon is a regular patrol of the Internet in search of social security numbers, credit card numbers, driver's license numbers and email addresses of LifeLock members to protect against the information being illegally traded or sold online. LifeLock's TrueAddress service searches to see if members have had a change of address form filed and alert them to ensure they are aware of the change. The company's services are backed by a $1 million total service guarantee.

In February 2007, the Federal Trade Commission released its annual report highlighting that for the seventh consecutive year, identity theft tops the list of consumer complaints. In 2006, identity theft cost Americans $1.1 billion dollars, the highest amount ever. A multi-billion dollar crime, identity theft is non-discriminatory, hitting Americans in every age range from infants to seniors. Since January 2005, more than 110 million Americans have received letters notifying them that their personal information has been lost or stolen. The letters have come from universities, doctors, dentists, hospitals, lawyers, the federal government, local law enforcement, the military, retirement communities, banks, credit bureaus and several non-profit organizations.

"The safety and satisfaction of our customers is a top priority for our airline," said Fernand Fernandez, director, customer loyalty and marketing programs with US Airways. "As we continue to expand the benefits offered within our Dividend Miles Program, protecting our customers from the growing threat of identity theft is very important to us. LifeLock is a simple and effective preventative tool. Our Dividend Miles Members will appreciate this added security element."
