Translations.com Partners with US Airways for Global Website Initiative

The Airline Will Deploy Translations.com’s GlobalLink GMS Technology Platform to Manage Multilingual Content

NEW YORK, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Translations.com, a leading provider of software localization services and translation-related technology products, today announced that it has been selected by US Airways as their vendor for translation services and GMS (Globalization Management System) technology in support of the company's web localization efforts. The engagement will support US Airways in its initiative to offer web-based functionality to a wide audience of global customers by the close of 2008.

To manage the multilingual content on its website, US Airways has installed Translations.com’s GlobalLink™ Content Director, an application that has become an industry-standard translation workflow system for Global 2000 companies. While the airline has chosen to utilize Translations.com’s language services to localize its website into seven to 10 languages, GlobalLink Content Director supports the use of multiple translation services providers, as well as internal resources.

"Translations.com provided US Airways with a very comprehensive solution for making our translation process as efficient and customer-friendly as possible. Their GlobalLink suite of technology products was a perfect fit for our requirements," stated Nick Deaver of US Airways.

Phil Shawe, President and CEO of Translations.com, stated, “In today's travel industry, there is no connection between an airline and its customers that is more mission critical than the company website. We are honored that US Airways has selected Translations.com to support the company's global web initiatives.”
