Trading of ADSs of China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited in New York is Halted

HONG KONG, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (the "Company"; NYSE: CEA; SEHK "0670"; SSE "600115"), announces that, following a request made by the Company to the New York Stock Exchange, trading in its ADSs on the New York Stock Exchange has been halted with effect from 9:30 a.m. on January 18, 2008 pending the release of an announcement of the Company, the nature of which is price-sensitive.
