Schiphol Group Live on GX WebManager 9

NIJMEGEN, The Netherlands, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Schiphol Group, one of the worlds leading airport companies, has migrated 3 websites and 10 extranets to GX WebManager 9. This completely new environment provides the airport operator with more stability and flexibility, which enables the organization to focus on online marketing and enterprise content management. GX, a leading vendor of enterprise web content management (WCM), and Schiphol Group jointly executed the flawless implementation of the 13 websites.

GX WebManager 9 supports the complete process of content development, management and publication for the websites Schiphol.nl, Schipholgroup.com, Lelystadairport.nl and 10 extranets. For Schiphol Group, this project marks a transfer to a central and future-proof enterprise WCM-platform for all of its online activities. The company can independently adapt the system and add new functionality if the need arises.

Sjoerd Sipkema, Manager E-Business bij Schiphol Group, explains: "We were looking for a flexible enterprise WCM-system that can cope with our rapidly growing number of visitors and is able to handle extreme amounts of traffic. It should also provide insight in traffic, search engine optimization and a user-friendly content management process. GX WebManager delivers in all areas and we were able to develop several modules ourselves, like a Departure- Arrivals-module and a Privium module (Privium is a customer program which enables travelers to enter airports using an iris scan). GX has handled the transfer to GX WebManager 9, which provides us with a future-proof platform that fulfills all our needs."

Martijn van Berkum, Chief Technical Officer at GX, is happy with the project. "The co-operation with Schiphol Group has been excellent, thanks to outstanding project management on both sides.
