Sanford Rose Associates Names Jeff Jones to Head Aviation, Aerospace & Defense Executive Search Practice

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Sanford Rose Associates - Fort Lauderdale, a retained international executive search firm, names Jeff Jones Managing Partner for its Aviation, Aerospace & Defense Practice.

As Managing Partner, Jones leads a team of seasoned search consultants to be the preferred provider of Aviation, Aerospace & Defense Executive Search services. He brings to the office 27 years of international experience in Aviation Operations, Aerospace Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Maintenance, Military Operations and Executive Level Recruiting. He has 21 years of Military Active Duty and Active Reserve service and 16 years of Commercial Airline Management experience.

Prior to joining Sanford Rose Associates in 2006, Jones served Alaska Airlines for 4 years, as Staff Vice President of Engineering & Technical Support. There, he teamed with industry leaders to remodel the operational and financial systems of the airline. Prior to Alaska, he served American Airlines for 12 years, partnering with business professionals in progressive roles including Senior Financial Analyst, Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer, Product Team Engineering Manager, Engineering Managing Director, Managing Director of Quality Assurance and Chief Inspector.

Highlights of his military career include 82nd Airborne Division and Special Operations Aviation assignments, two Middle East Deployments and East Asia Aerial Intelligence Operations. Leadership roles include progressive command and staff responsibilities in Aviation Operations, Maintenance, Research & Development and Supply Chain Logistics. Serving 11 active years in the Oklahoma Army National Guard, he commanded the State Army Aviation Group in the grade of Lieutenant Colonel. He is a Senior Army Aviator and Test Pilot, with commercial ratings in both rotary and fixed-wing, multi-engine aircraft. He also maintains an FAA Airframe & Powerplant mechanic license. Throughout his career, he held Top Security Clearances for the Department of Defense.

Originally from Mobile, AL, Jones is a 1980 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. He earned his MBA degree in Organizational Behavior from the University of Phoenix in 2001.
