Multi-Unit Emergent Process Feature Included in Latest Release of Velocity by Intercim(R)

EAGAN, Minn., March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Intercim, Inc. announced today the release of Velocity(TM) 2007.1 process execution software. The latest release features multi-unit Emergent Process Management (EPM), enhanced dashboard analytics and an upgrade to support Oracle(R) 10.

"Industries like major aircraft manufacturing, that produce multiple variations within a product line, can now manage emergent events and non- conformances across the assembly process or the fleet," said Tim Gustafson, Chief Architect Manufacturing & Quality System Solutions. "Whether you call it Multi-Unit or Quality Alert processes, purging or a recall; resolving a problem across multiple processes can be daunting," he said.

When it's discovered that a problem on one unit could affect others, Velocity(TM) can track and constrain identified parts until the scope of the problem is determined. Automated distribution of the disposition plan significantly speeds up the time between problem discovery and resolution. Additionally, multi-unit EPM tracks problems in each unit separately throughout the product lifecycle -- from assembly to post delivery.

"Velocity 7.1 reduces the flow time needed to communicate and manage emergent events across highly engineered, complex processes," said Gustafson. "This capability addresses the three most important concerns of any mission critical manufacturer ... time, money and quality."

Staying true to its mission of configured--not programmed software, Intercim's enhanced analytics tool allows "build-your-own" dashboards to capture real-time fabrication and assembly activities. WIP statuses such as on hold, in planning or behind schedule as well as active Emergent Process documents are instantly and continuously accessible.

Other features of Velocity 7.1 include:
-- Oracle 10G support for enhance performance
-- Security enhancements to make it easier to protect confidential and
ITAR-sensitive data when executing process across the supply chain
-- Enhanced features for collecting non-value added labor data for
        metrics and analysis
